What is a Hackathon?
You come up with an idea and build a solution in one day. Furthermore, you can win prizes and get recognized for your contribution!
A hackathon is all about ideas. Your ideas can be as crazy as you want them to be. Think of an idea related to something that you are passionate about outside of work, such as hiking, biking or fishing. Next, come up with a solution that will make your passion easier or more rewarding. You may also consider something that makes your work difficult, such as submitting daily timesheets, and think of a solution to simplify the process.
Prior to the hackathon, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the LM tool and build similar applications. During the hackathon, you will start with a clean slate and build the entire solution within 24 hours. Mentors will be available to help.
When does the hackathon start?
- Fort Lee and Peru offices - Starts Friday 12/4 at 5:00 p.m. and ends Saturday 12/5 at 5:00 p.m. EST
- Sweden offices – Starts Friday 12/4 at 11:00 p.m. and ends Saturday 12/5 at 11:00 p.m. CET
- Los Angeles offices – Starts Friday 12/4 at 2:00 p.m. and ends Saturday, 12/5 at 2:00 p.m. PST

Do I need to be physically present at the office?
The hackathon is on a weekend. On-site presence is highly recommended. Remote attendance will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Your idea will be judged by the Cignium Leadership Team. Winners will be announced at the company meeting and party on December 17. The winning submissions will be showcased at the event.
Eligibility
1. Participants are required to be a Cignium Employee in order to participate in the Hackathon.
2. Participants are required to be physically present in the in one of the Cignium Locations. Remote participation will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements
1. Participants are required to build a fully functional application on the LM platform.
2. Participants are required to submit a description of the idea, Challenges faced and Suggestions/improvements for the Lifecycle Management platform.
